Obama's EPA Moves to Shut Down Economic Boom in US

The amazing US shale oil & gas bonanza has delivered an economic boom to several regions across the US. This boom has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise depressing Obama economy -- marked by official energy starvation and political cronyism in green energy spending.

Now -- astoundingly! -- the Obama EPA is pushing forward rules which threaten to turn off this rare economic bright light in the Obama darkness. According to the American Petroleum Institute:
...proposed federal regulations for hydraulic fracturing would significantly deter oil and natural gas production in the United States.

...the EPA rules would dramatically cut overall natural gas production using hydraulic fracturing by 11 percent, and oil production by 37 percent. Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, injects high-pressure blends of water, chemicals and sand into shale rock to free up hydrocarbon deposits.

...the EPA needs to give oil and natural gas companies several more years to comply, the energy lobbying group [API] said. _BizJournals
Final report from the API outlining the damaging effects on US energy production and the US economy from proposed EPA rules

All aspects of the Obama administration and bureaucracy have opposed reliable and affordable large scale energy production in the US -- in other words, they have promoted energy starvation. Such policies of energy starvation lead to economic hardship in all sectors of an advanced economy -- yet these are the kinds of policies the Obama EPA, DOE, and Department of the Interior have promoted.

The deeper the Obama administration descends into energy starvation, the more difficult it becomes for policy-makers to deny their apparent ideological connections with big-green dieoff.orgy lefty-Luddites.
